Mayor De Blasio says, “Now it is easier than ever,” he said in a video posted to his official Twitter account. “When you see a crowd, when you see a line that’s not distanced, when you see a supermarket that’s too crowded — anything — you can report it right away so we can get help there to fix the problem.” How can he think this is the right thing to do? All of these “report hotlines” are getting out of hand. What if there is a family in line to go inside a supermarket? How are those texting those pictures to know the stories behind anything they see?
These “reporting hotlines” are pitting Americans against Americans. This always has the potential of adding chaos to an already bad situation. What is he, and others like him, thinking? Are they WANTING the divide to be bigger in this country? Are they trying to ensure we never find a way to bridge the gap? Instead of pitting people against each other, maybe they should focus on ways to bring the ENTIRE COUNTRY together.
