A Letter To You From New RightWay Writer “Channel Sanderson”
Hello dear reader,
My name is Channel Sanderson and I am going to be writing for The RightWay, so I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you.
I grew up poor in Southern California in the 70s and 80s. I joined the US Army and served for 4 years as an intelligence analyst. After the Army, I studied computer science and worked in a variety of interesting fields. Not in chronological order but, I’ve been a Realtor, a teacher, a phone booth salesman, an editor, a software project manager, a house flipper, a windmill inspector, a day trader, and a fry cook. But most of all I’ve been curious.
I think most people who read what I write will think that I am a conservative libertarian, but if you had a conversation with me, you would understand that I am mostly curious and logical. I like to feel good about where I stand on an issue. I want to know what principle applies, and I want to know what someone who disagrees with me would think, and why. I have always preferred calm discussions with people who disagree with me, so my deepest desire is that you, dear readers, would share something I write about outside of our echo chamber, and into the echo chamber where our ideas are forbidden.
I want to find principled disagreement. There is one more thing that I would like for you to know about me. I cannot abide a lie. I try hard to speak and write truth myself, and when I make a mistake, I readily admit it. I am looking forward to writing my first article for The RightWay, and I hope that you will enjoy it… critically.
