Doctor’s are in jeopardy in more ways than one during this pandemic.

Imagine working on the frontines in an emergency room, doing everything you can to help others survive, just to have a judge decide you are endangering your child. I can not imagine this, and my heart truly aches for this doctor.

I understand the “emotion” of this decision, but not the legality. I believe this pushes limits the courts have no right entertaining. This doctor is taking every precaution yet still being punished. Will she have to wait until a vaccine is ready to see her child? Will she need to quit her job? What exactly does a very much NEEDED ER doctor do to ensure she keeps her relationship with her child?

From the article: “Despite testing negative for coronavirus and following the American Medical Association’s guidance for first responders and frontline physicians during this global health crisis — which states that health care professionals can interact and live with their families if they take necessary health precautions — Circuit Judge Bernard Shapiro ruled that the child’s health is in danger and gave the father sole custody.” and ““I was just shocked that the judge would take this stance without talking to medical experts and knowing the facts and take it so lightly, take my child from me and not think of the effect on her, her mental and psychological well-being,” Greene told NBC.” So no experts were consulted, and this is the decision being made. Think about everyone this can impact, all the jobs and workers considered essential, and then tell me IS THIS RIGHT? IS IT LEGAL?

We, as a country, owe these people a huge debt, and this is how our courts are repaying them.

THIS IS WRONG!
