THEY WEAR THE UNIFORMS OF UNITED STATES SOLDIERS AND THOSE OF OUR ALLIES.

Most of us can agree that when a soldier puts on his or her uniform, laying his or her life on the line for the greater good, these people are heroes.

Henry Mayfield, Jr was one of these heroes. May his memory live on in the hearts of the American people.

He was fighting terrorist forces in Africa. He was killed on Sunday.

The 23-year-old from Hazel Crest near Chicago was killed in an al-Shabaab attack on Manda Bay Airfield in Kenya. Two United States military contractors were killed.

Not all heroes wear capes. Many wear the uniforms of the American soldier and those of our allies.
