Suspect Arrested 3 Times in 12 Hours Thanks to California’s New Zero-Bail Policy
Breitbart News reported that California officials seem to have been leading a nationwide effort to empty state prisons amid the coronavirus pandemic. The officials are claiming that inmates are at-risk of contracting the virus. This new California initiative has led to the release of seven high-risk sex offenders recently, one of which was rearrested on sex crime charges just days after his release.
Police records show that a suspect was arrested three times over the course of 12 hours by Orange County, California, law enforcement officials. All because of the state’s new zero-bail policy for accused criminals charged with a variety of crimes. They have said publicly that the crimes that qualify for the No-Bail policy are “minor” “nonviolent ” crimes, but it seems to be a crime “Free-For-All” in California right now.
These criminals know they won’t spend any time in jail and won’t need to come up with any bail money, many of them will never show back up for their court dates; basically getting away scott free, with whatever crime they want.
Dijon Landrum, 24-years-old, was reportedly first arrested by the Glendora PD on April 29th after he was allegedly caught breaking into a vehicle while trying to steal it. Breitbart said that “When police arrived at the scene, they said Landrum tried to drive off in the stolen car, along with stolen property and narcotics.“
After he was arrested for the second time, in a matter of hours, Landrum was released again due to that new no-bail policy. And apperently that second arrest wasn’t much of a deterrent for Landrum, because that evening, he led Glendora PD officers and California Highway Patrol on a high speed chase after allegedly stealing another vehicle from a parking lot.
The pursuit ended in Pasadena where Landrum was arrested for a third time. He was then charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and evading arrest.
And as you can guess, after his third arrest he was again released, and simply issued a citation.
The liberal Leftists in California have really outdone themselves this time. Their “Hippy-like” policies have allowed high drug use and crime, they glorify promiscuous behavior, and call for no judgments of anyone…all this was bad enough.
However now, their obsessive political correctness, and their perpetual social activism, have made it the socialists utopia that leftists in California have always dreamed of. And now they’ve created an open-season for criminals to hunt whomever they want without fear of the law. They have taken their beloved golden state down a winding path in a bottomless pit of doom.
Has California finally gone too far? Will they ever be able to come back from the brink of disaster before they take the rest of the country down with them? I am not so sure they can…I’m also not sure that they really even want to.
They all seem to like living in this kind of misery. Otherwise, why else would they continue to vote these people into office?
