We Will Meet Again…On The Other side; Christmas Without You.
A Beautiful Song; The Other Side – By Colton Dixon
We Will Meet Again…On The Other Side; Christmas Without you.
Christmas is a hard time of year, (to say the least,) for many people it is unbearable. It is often strife with loss and heartache and filled with tragic memories.
My heart also breaks for those who are sad and alone during the Holidays.
I personally, lost my father this year, and our family is going through some very real feelings of sadness and an emptiness that is surely going to change the way we feel about this Christmas.
Our hearts are broken, but our faith is strong, and we each thank God that it is.
Our faith in God, I know for a fact, is the only reason we are going to have a beautiful family Christmas this year, and not the lonely, hurtful, and angry, humbug-of-a-season that it is for many others.
We know that he is up there in heaven right now, happy and healthy, after having the nost amazing reunion with his mom and dad, brother and other loved ones who parted this world before him. And that we will see him again when we are finally called home.
I am sure he is wishing he could be with us too this Christmas, but he is here with us in our hearts, and just on the other side of a very thin invisible veil that separates heaven and earth. At least that’s what I believe.
As a family we have had many hardships and losses, that I cannot see how we could have come through them so well without believing that God was on our side.
Every bad thing in our lives always seems to move us forward to the next good thing. As if someone has a plan for us.
It’s definitly a way of life and a positive mindset that is not always easy to live by, but this life is so precious and short it’s a comfort knowing that whatever comes next will be glorious and that we will meet again on the other side.
I don’t push for people to believe the same way I do, or support any one religion. But I cannot look at my own life and the miraculous world around me and not see God in it.
Is it the God of Abraham, Moses, Noah and Jesus? I think so, but even if I wasn’t sure about that, I would still believe that lifes “coincidences” are just too spectacular to not have come from the grand design of some all powerful and banevalent force who must really love their creation.
I see God in nature and humans alike, every day
So, this Christmas hold your loved ones close, honor those who have left us too soon, make amends and offer forgiveness, and be kind to one another.
Whether you believe in God or not… he believes in you.
Christmas isn’t just about religion, you dont have to have faith to enjoy the season…but it sure helps.
Merry Christmas from all of us here at The RightWay!
